About joe

My name is Joe Meawasige. I am an Indigenous photographer and graphic artist from the Ojibwa tribe. Originally from Serpent River First Nation, I spent my upbringing in Alderville First Nation, a couple hours east of Toronto, Ontario, before relocating to Oshawa, Ontario a decade ago.

My background is in advertising, graphic design, photography, and web design. In 2010, I enrolled in an Advertising program, an industry that proved to fulfill my desire for creativity and promoting. In 2014, I decided that I didn't know enough about photography to make a possible career, so I enrolled in a Digital Photography program (at the same college) and I am grateful for my time spent.
